Priestess Sorema spits venom in Cataclysm in Blue Water. I based Sorema on the fresco at right. Found in room 3 in a building known as Xeste 3 (Akrotiri), a Minoan mansion, this painting is part of a mural above an adyton (a place for offerings.) This goddess is perched on an elevated, tripartite platform. She is surrounded by a monkey and a griffin who appear to be her attendants.If asked to cast Cataclysm in Blue Water for a film, I would court Teri Hatcher as Sorema. Perfect!
